St Mary's Pipe Organ Rebuild Project

The Community Church Council has embarked on an ambitious programme to completely rebuild and extend the 1812 Gray and Davison organ which has been inside St Mary's Church since the 1850s.

This section of the website is devoted to the project, which aims to raise £150,000. Work has now started on the organ which was dismantled during February 2016. All the pipes and case have been transported to the organ builders workshop in Leicestershire.

Check back for regular updates and read through to find out more about the project as progress is made through the year. Most importantly, look at the various ways in which you can help us reach our target and save one of the only significant remaining pipe organs in the area.
